Artist's Comments

Sorry for the week-long wait. I have been quite busy lately and have spent quite a bit of time fine-tuning my Skyline's render node network. This is not the final render and definitely not the final paint-job. I've had some trouble with the vinyl textures on the car's doors that I need to sort out. Also, I'm trying to decide whether or not I should model the car's internals. You may notice that I have updated some of the car's geometry such as the grills at the front. I did this to correct some errors and make the car seem more aggressive.

Nice! Some criticism: I don't like the rear of the car. It's too smooth to bring across the agressive feel of the rest of the car. BTW, there's a small gap between the two main parts of the rear bumper.</criticism> It's kickass though, I'd never be able to do that. I really like the texture/material of the rear lights. Good to see you working on it.

This is my favorite car you have made.

Great! I love critism. :D I completely agree with you about the rear bumper. You have no idea how many times I have re-modeled that damn thing. I just can't seem to be able to model the rear of cars very well. By-the-way, the small gap I think that you're referring to is supposed to be there; it is the partition between the car's rear bumper and rear skirt. I've given the car an all round skirt to make it feel more like a low-riding drag racer. If that's not the gap that you are referring to, please let me know. Thanks for the comment. :highfive:

No, that's the gap I was on about. Some extrusion on the rear bumper would hellp a lot, I think. Give it a windswept kind of look.

For the final render I'm going to use a darker, more sinister colour; don't worry about that. :D How can I improve the rims?
